Overview
The purpose of this role is to lead and manage the organisation’s IT infrastructure environments, ensuring the stability, scalability and security of systems. The Infrastructure Manager is accountable for infrastructure availability, power continuity, internal change governance and vendor performance, while providing senior-level escalation support.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead systems and infrastructure management (on‑premises & cloud).
- Oversee network, server, storage and virtualisation environments.
- Implement and monitor security, backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Establish and maintain system observability and performance optimisation.
- Govern internal change control, including UAT sign-off and controlled deployments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant IT policies, standards and software licensing.
- Oversee power and facilities systems supporting IT operations, including inverters, lithium battery storage and other miscellaneous infrastructure support.
- Manage third‑party/vendor relationships and SLA performance.
- Provide internal technical escalation support for critical incidents.
Key Performance Indicators
- Meet or exceed agreed uptime targets across systems, networks and applications.
- Successful recovery testing of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Compliance with software licensing and security governance.
- Change management adherence and risk minimisation.
- Positive internal stakeholder satisfaction feedback.
Required Technical Competencies
- Strong experience in systems infrastructure administration: Windows Server, Linux, VMware.
- Network administration, including VLANs, firewalls, VPN and routing.
- Infrastructure performance monitoring and root cause analysis.
- Electrical infrastructure understanding, including Inverter and battery storage.
- Active Directory and Group Policy.
- SQL DBA.
- Technical documentation and architecture familiarity.
